AI answers can change with the wording of a question, provider, market, and time of collection. Rankizz.com stores results against the exact prompt and provider so a citation can be traced back to the answer that produced it.
A result can include the original answer, detected brand names, the brand's position when a list or ordering is visible, and cited URLs. Citation domains can also be enriched with Ahrefs Domain Rating when that lookup is available.
Mentions and citations are separate signals
A brand can be named without receiving a citation, and a brand's site can be cited without a prominent brand mention. Keeping both signals prevents a single percentage from hiding how the answer was assembled.
